Using integrations in your Check-ins

How Range works with Slack, GitHub, Asana, Jira, Dropbox, Google Docs, and more

Range works with several popular tools, and we're adding more all the time. Here's what you can do with each linked tool:

  • Slack — Get notifications from Range when teammates post check-ins. You can also write the @range bot to quickly add items to your Range check-in. Learn more
  • Google Drive — See your Google Drive activity in Range when writing a check-in. You'll see documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and files that you've recently created or edited, and documents where you've added comments. Learn more
  • Google Calendar — See your upcoming and past calendar events in Range when writing a check-in. Learn more
  • GitHub — See your GitHub pull requests and issues in Range when writing a check-in. Learn more about standard GitHub and GitHub Enterprise.

How to add linked tools

1. If required, connect the integration for your entire workspace

A few integrations require an admin to connect and grant permission for your whole org first. Go to the integration settings page and click "Set up for your workspace" next to the integration of your choice. If the UI says you must be a Range admin, contact us via the round chat button in the bottom right and we can help.

Note: You'll also need to be an Admin in Slack and GitHub to add these tools. Here's our Security FAQ if you'd like to know more.

2. Have everyone on your team link their identity to the tool

This lets Range know who you are on each other tool that you use. Each person should go to the integration settings page and click the [Link Asana] button (or whichever tool you want to link).

If you have any problems with these linked tools, please let us know. We're here to help!
