How it works
When the calendar integration is initially linked, recent and upcoming events are imported.
When you write a check-in on Range, you'll see suggestions for upcoming calendar events in the "Plan" section and suggestions for past calendar events in the "What's happened" section.
If you've written a check-in item in your "Plan" section and included a calendar meeting, it'll automatically move down to the "What's happened" section after the event has ended.
Setup
Calendar is connected on a per user basis from the integrations settings page. Simply click "Link Google Calendar" and go through the authentication flow.
Security considerations
calendar.readonly is requested which provides read-only access to the user’s calendars and events. Read more about Google Calendar auth.
Range polls users’ primary calendar on 45-minute intervals. Range persists the following data from the Calendar Event file:
- Event ID
- Summary
- Description
- Html Link
- Location
- Start Time
- End Time
- Number of attendees
- Whether there are out-of-domain attendees
